Dr. Idorenyin Eyo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Law, University of Uyo, with a Ph.D. in Law, University of Nsukka. In addition to her academic degrees, she holds a Certificate in Clinical Legal Education, Network of University Legal Aid Institutions and other notable certifications from reputable institutions.
Dr. Idy brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Department of Public Law. Having served in various capacities, their professional journey reflects a commitment to legal scholarship and academic excellence.
Her responsibilities at University of Uyo, includes teaching core courses in Public Law, mentoring graduate students, and engaging in scholarly research. Courses such as Law of Contract, Law of Arbitration, Law of Torts etc
Her has 5 years legal practice experience as a Paralegal Staff at Corpus Juris Chambers Abak Road Housing Estate Ime Akpan and Associates Destiny Chambers both in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Dr. Idy is actively engaged in cutting-edge research in the field of Public Law. Their research interests include but are not limited to: Constitutional Law and Theory, Administrative Law and Governance, Human Rights and Social Justice, Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility. Such research has resulted in publications in peer-reviewed journals, books, and other scholarly outlets. Majority are open access in this knowledgbase. it has also made her to be a voice to be heard in several Conferences.
She holds Professional Memberships in Nigerian Bar Association, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Network of Universities Legal and Institutions. Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, London, United Kingdom etc.
Dr. Idy has held several leadeship positions in the University and beyond. Some of such positions includes: The Coordinator, University Law Clinic, Facilitator, Global Learning Experience Programme, University of Uyo, Nigeria. (With DePaul University, Chicago, United States of America). Deputy Director, Research and Development, University of Uyo. The Head of Department, Department of Public Law, Faculty of Law etc
